Terms of Use

Last updated: [PLACEHOLDER: date]

In short: Aisle is a marketplace where developers list AI software. When you buy something on Aisle, you buy it from the developer, not from Aisle. Aisle runs the website, the search, Aisle Match and the delivery of keys and downloads. These terms cover your use of Aisle; the developer's own licence terms cover the product you buy.

1. Who we are

Aisle is operated by [PLACEHOLDER: legal entity name and legal form], [PLACEHOLDER: registered address], registered with [PLACEHOLDER: company register court and number]. Contact: [PLACEHOLDER: support email]. Full details are in the imprint.

2. What Aisle does, and what it doesn't

In short: Aisle is an intermediary. The developer is the seller.

  • Aisle lists AI software (apps, agents, downloads, extensions, templates) from independent developers, lets you search and compare it, and handles checkout pages, licence keys and downloads on the developer's behalf.
  • When you buy through Aisle ("Get it"), the contract of sale is between you and the developer named on the product page. Payment is processed by Stripe on the developer's own Stripe account; the developer is the merchant of record and issues your receipt or invoice.
  • When a listing says "Visit site" (external listing), you leave Aisle and any contract is made on the developer's website under their terms.
  • Aisle is not a party to these contracts and does not sell, own or warrant the listed products. [PLACEHOLDER: counsel to confirm the intermediary wording under Austrian consumer law and § 5a/§ 5c KSchG / FAGG, and the trader information shown before purchase.]

3. Your account

  • You need an account to save purchases, leave reviews and use the library; you can buy as a guest with an email address.
  • Minimum age: [PLACEHOLDER: minimum age, e.g. 16 or the age of digital consent in your country].
  • Keep your login secure. Tell us at [PLACEHOLDER: security email] if you think someone else used your account.
  • You can export or delete your account at any time in your account settings (see the privacy policy).

4. Buying through Aisle

In short: prices are set by developers; you pay the developer via Stripe; you get your key or download right after payment.

  • Prices are set by the developer and shown with a tax note ("incl. VAT" or "excl. taxes"). [PLACEHOLDER: counsel to confirm price display rules for consumers (gross prices) under the Austrian PrAG.]
  • At checkout you confirm the developer's terms and, for digital content and services delivered immediately, that you request immediate delivery. [PLACEHOLDER: exact withdrawal-right wording (FAGG § 18) and the confirmation text shown in Stripe Checkout.]
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You cancel in your library via the developer's customer portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.
  • Refunds: see the refund policy. Summary: "Refund within 14 days, no questions asked." for purchases made through Aisle checkout, within the conditions listed there.

5. Licences, keys and downloads

  • What you may do with a product is set by the developer's licence, shown on the product page. [PLACEHOLDER: default licence terms if a developer provides none.]
  • Licence keys are shown once and sent by email. Aisle stores keys only in hashed form and cannot show them again; you can request a new key from your library.
  • Download links are short-lived. Products that fail Aisle's security scan are not published, but the scan does not guarantee a product is free of defects.

6. Aisle Match

In short: Aisle Match is AI-assisted, reads only listed products and can be wrong.

  • Aisle Match suggests products based on what you describe. It reads only listing data on Aisle and never shows sponsored products.
  • Suggestions are generated by an AI model (Claude, by Anthropic) and can be incomplete or inaccurate. Check the product page before you buy. Suggestions are not professional advice.
  • Don't enter personal or confidential information in your description. How queries are processed is explained in the privacy policy.
  • If nothing fits, you can post your need as an anonymous public request.
  • [PLACEHOLDER: counsel to confirm AI transparency wording under the EU AI Act, Art. 50.]

7. Reviews and your content

  • You can review products you bought or verifiably use. Reviews must be honest and based on your own experience; paid or incentivised reviews are not allowed.
  • You keep the rights to your reviews and requests. You give Aisle a [PLACEHOLDER: scope, duration and territory] licence to display them on Aisle.
  • We may hide reviews that break these rules and will tell you why (see DSA contact and notice-and-action).

8. Ranking and sponsored placements

  • Organic ranking is not for sale. The main parameters are quality, engagement, freshness and referred traffic; details are on /how-ranking-works [PLACEHOLDER: production URL].
  • Paid placements (Boosts, Featured slots, Launch Boost) are always labelled "Sponsored" with a link explaining why you see them.

9. Rules of use

You may not: break the law using Aisle; scrape Aisle beyond what robots.txt allows; interfere with Aisle's security; abuse the refund or review systems; or upload malware. [PLACEHOLDER: full acceptable-use list.]

10. Reporting illegal content

Use the report link on any product page or the contact point described in DSA contact and notice-and-action.

11. Liability

[PLACEHOLDER: counsel to draft. Points to cover: Aisle is not liable for products sold by developers; limits for slight negligence where permitted under Austrian law; no limitation for intent, gross negligence or personal injury; consumer warranty rights against the seller (the developer) remain unaffected.]

12. Changes and termination

  • We may change these terms with [PLACEHOLDER: notice period] notice by email or in the app. Changes don't affect purchases already made.
  • You can stop using Aisle and delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms, with a statement of reasons.

13. Law and disputes

  • [PLACEHOLDER: governing law (Austrian law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection in the consumer's country of residence) and place of jurisdiction.]
  • [PLACEHOLDER: information on consumer dispute resolution bodies (e.g. Internet Ombudsstelle) and whether Aisle participates. Note: the EU online dispute resolution (ODR) platform closed in July 2025, so no ODR link is needed; counsel to confirm.]
